At Wairarapa Medical, we are proud to offer a dedicated Menopause Clinic run by Dr Alison Payne, an experienced GP with a special interest in women’s health.

Our Martinborough based clinic supports women through perimenopause, menopause, and the many years post menopause.

Dr Payne offers sympathetic advice and help supported by evidence-based guidance on hormone replacement therapy, non-hormonal treatment options, and lifestyle strategies to help you manage symptoms and maintain long-term health and wellbeing.

She sensitively addresses the physical and psychological changes that challenge many women at this time, putting them in the context of past and present life and health experiences. The extreme hormone fluctuations that occur during perimenopause are also responsible for premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and its extreme variant, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and she welcomes women who want help with these debilitating conditions.
