At Wairarapa Medical we offer an Urgent Care Service on all weekdays.
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

The service is available to;
- Wairarapa Medical patients needing urgent care,
- Casual patients who can’t get an urgent appointment with their enrolled practice,
- Visitors to the area needing same-day medical attention.
Our Urgent Care Clinicians specialise in treating medical conditions that are not life threatening but cannot wait until the next day. It is NOT for management of any long-term medical conditions as these are best managed by your regular provider who can offer follow-up.
We also specialise in treating patients who have had an accident and injured themselves. From sprains, to fractures, to lacerations, our staff will look after you.
While we don’t currently have x-ray facilities on site, we can assess and refer for same day x-rays if appropriate, saving you unnecessary long waits in ED. Simple fractures can be casted and managed at our Greytown practice.
It is important to note that while you will be given an appointment time, there may be a wait as patients are triaged when they present to the clinic and those that are more seriously ill are given priority.
